ChromiCode [Review]

Today I'm doing a review of a software called "ChromiCode"

ChromiCode

Are you thinking of building Chrome extension? If you said, "yes" then you might want to consider picking up ChromiCode. I've had the opportunity to use and create Chrome extension with ChromiCode. Let me tell you, it's one of the easiest ways to do this and you don't need to know HTML.

I'm going to be sharing with you the steps it takes to create your first extension and to be accurate, there are 8 steps to do this. Don't let that number scary you. I'm going to be sharing with you what those steps are.

Step 1.

In step 1, you need to have a title for your chrome extension. Without a title, you can't move forward in the creation process, but more importantly, no one is going to know what your extension is.

Step 2.

In step 2, you need to have a description for your chrome extension. Without a description, you can't move forward in the creation process, but more importantly, no one or Google is going to know what your extension is about.

Step 3.

In step 3, you need to have a version number for your chrome extension. Every extension has a beginning. Usually when someone creates an extension, they start it with 0.1. Whenever you update the extension, the number will need to be changed.

Step 4.

In step 4, this is where the magic happens and you create your extension. If you don't know HTML, don't worry. You can still create an extension without it. You can use a page builder to create your bones of the extension and then add an iframe code to import into this section. Then you're done!

Step 5.

In step 5, you'll be adding a logo for your extension. The image must be 128px x 128px in order for it to be the right size. You can use programs like Photoshop, Canva, and programs of the like to create these images.

Step 6.

In step 6, you'll need to have a Google Firebase account to complete this step. Don't worry! It's free and easy to setup. Once you get it setup, you then get the id and add it to the box as shown in the image below.

Step 7.

In step 7, you'll need to have a OneSignal App account. Again, like I said in the last step, don't worry. It's free! Once you get it setup, you then get the id and add it to the box as shown in the image below

Step 8.

In step 8, once you've complete the previous steps, you can now download your new chrome extension. After you get it downloaded onto your computer, you can upload it to your own chrome browser to check out your new extension.

In Conclusion

One of the reason I think you'll love ChromiCode is the fact that it is easy to create extensions for Google Chrome. The training that comes with this, really shows you how to complete the process. Any newbie who wants to start creating chrome extensions should pick this up.

      Hey Joseph!

Thanks for your comment. When creating your extensions, you can use a page builder to build your extension and then iframe your page into ChromiCode. Hope that helps!
